Twin brothers to open poke shop in new downtown food hall this month
The Bank’s newest restaurant looks nothing like the others signed to 629 J St., even though its owners appear to be nearly identical.
Twin brothers Brady and Micky Sisenglath plan to open Poke Bros in the three-story repurposed building by the end of the month, according to a media release distributed Tuesday. They’ll serve Hawaii-inspired bowls of raw seafood, vegetables, rice and other ingredients.

Meet Me at the Bank
THE HISTORIC D.O. MILLS BANK BUILDING at 629 J St. was built in 1912, but for decades its vaults have been closed. That will change sometime later this summer when the building reopens as The Bank, a three-story restaurant and bar space with up to 12 different chefs and cuisines.

Historic downtown bank building will be house restaurants and beer taps.
The century-old downtown Sacramento D.O. Mills Bank Building at 7th and J streets is being transformed into a culinary palace, offering perhaps a dozen distinct cuisines and more than 70 beers on tap. The extensive reworking of the historic building is being branded as simply “The Bank,” with project officials aiming for a late-summer opening.
